DOCSSTREAMS AND MEDIA DELIVERY
Create and manage streams
Updated 31 October 2026
A stream is a video that EYZFlow encodes into playback versions and packages. Streams are available from Streams in the sidebar.
Before you start
You need an active plan with the Streams module and the Create Streams permission to create streams. To link a catalogue or use a stored file from the Vault or Bridge, you also need Edit Streams. If your organisation has reached its storage limit, you cannot create a new stream.
Create a stream
- Open Streams and select New stream.
- Enter a required Title and choose an Encoding profile. The default profile is marked (Default).
- To encrypt the stream so it plays only with a licence, select Protected (DRM).
- Optionally link the stream to a catalogue title, then continue.
- Add the source video using one of these options:
- Drop a file onto the page or choose a file from your computer. Supported formats are MP4, MOV, AVI and MPG.
- Add a direct URL to the video.
- Choose a stored video from the Vault or Bridge.
- Select Create stream. If you upload a file, keep the page open until the stream page opens. Encoding starts automatically afterward.
Important
If you leave while a file is uploading, the stream is left without its source. If the connection drops, the upload displays “Reconnecting…” and continues.
When using a stored file, EYZFlow encodes it where it is stored, so nothing is uploaded. The Vault option requires View Vault. The Bridge options require View Bridge Accounts and View Bridge Files.
Find and open streams
The Streams list shows each stream’s title, status, quality, duration, DRM state and creation date. Encoding streams show a progress bar under their status.
- Search by title and press Enter or select Search.
- Use the Status selector to show one status.
- Select Filter for additional filters, including quality, duration, DRM, catalogue, and subtitle or audio-track language.
- Select a stream’s picture or play button to watch it, or select its title to open the stream page.
Statuses include Ready, Processing, Failed and Draft.
Add a source to a draft
A draft without a source shows an upload icon instead of a play button.
- In Streams, select the draft’s upload icon.
- In the Source video card, choose a local file or add a direct video URL.
- Select Start encoding.
To use a Vault or Bridge file, select Choose stored file, choose the video, and select Start encoding. Encoding starts immediately without an upload.
Adding a source to a draft requires Edit Streams. Uploading a file or adding a URL also requires Create Streams; using a stored file requires Edit Streams.
Delete a stream
- In Streams, select the red × at the end of the stream’s row.
- Confirm the deletion.
You need the Delete Streams permission to see the delete control.
